Madison Community Band

Welcome to the official home of the Madison Community Band, one of Kentucky's finest wind bands! Under the baton of Dr. John Stroube, the band is based in Richmond, with members representing communities from across Central and Southeastern Kentucky. We are a proud member of the Association of Concert Bands.

About Madison Community Band

The Madison Community Band is an all-volunteer band based in Richmond, Kentucky, with members hailing from Central and Southeastern Kentucky.  Established in July 2009, the band typically performs four times each concert season (October, December, February, and April) and twice in the summer (June and August).

Celebrate America
An Independence Day Concert

First Baptist Church (EKU Bypass), Richmond, Kentucky

Come celebrate our nation's Independence as the Madison Community Band and Madison Singers present this annual community-wide musical celebration. Joining us once again as master-of-ceremonies is WKYT-TV Anchor Amber Philpott.

Pops at the Park 2023

One of Richmond’s favorite summer traditions, Pops at the Park is an annual outdoor musical event held each August. Featuring a fun and light-hearted atmosphere with picnic dinners, a table decorating contest, and an idyllic Kentucky setting; the event started in 1983. The event features a performance by the Madison Community Band.
